Patna: Congress suffered a setback ahead of Lok Sabha elections in Bihar as former state president of Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee Anil Sharma resigned from the party. Sharma expressed his dissatisfaction with the party’s approach to seat sharing in Bihar. In the seat distribution, Congress has mostly traditional seats. At the same time, Congress workers are angry about not getting Aurangabad and Purnia seats.

Anil Sharma has sent a letter to Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge tendering his resignation from the primary membership. Anil Sharma has also given the reason for his resignation. He said that the inclusion of Pappu Yadav in Congress was the biggest reason for my resignation. He also said that the alliance between the RJD and Congress is not right. He said that he has been an opponent of the alliance since 1998. From that time on, Congress became known as the Votkatwa Party.

Anil Sharma said that an alliance with RJD is fatal for Congress.
