Bengal take first innings lead against Bihar in Ranji Trophy

Patna: Bengal scored 111 runs for the loss of two wickets in their first innings and took a lead of 16 runs against Bihar in their four-day Ranji Trophy match at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Friday. Earlier, Bihar were all out for 95 runs in their first innings.

Bengal won the toss and invited Bihar to bat. Bihar’s batting collapsed against the bowling of Mukesh Kumar and Suraj Jaiswal. Bihar scored 95 runs all out in their first innings.

For Bihar, Rishav scored 26 runs, Raghavendra Pratap scored 23 runs, Sakibul Gani scored 14 runs. For Bengal, Mukesh Kumar and Suraj Jaiswal took 4 wickets each, and Md Kaif took one wicket, while one player was run out.

In reply, Bengal’s Sakir Habib Gandhi was out after scoring 19 runs and Karan Lal was out after scoring 28 runs. Easwaran remained unbeaten on 48 runs and Anustup Majumdar too remained unbeaten on 13 runs. For Bihar, Veer Pratap and Ravi Shankar took one wicket each.
