Patna: Basawan Park Cricket Academy beat Learning School of Cricket by six wickets to enter the semifinals of Randhir Verma U-17 Cricket Championship at Sanjay Gandhi Stadium here on Friday.
Earlier, the match was inaugurated by Kunal Singh, the uncrowned king of Bhojpuri cinema, after getting introduced to the players. Ayush Patel (31/4 wickets) of the winning team was awarded the Man of the Match award.
Social workers Anuj Kumar, Rajan Srivastava, Raju Srivastava, joint convenor of BJP sports cell Mukesh Paswan, spokesperson Rajeev Ranjan, Anand Sinha, regional in-charge Samridh Verma, Anand Mishra, Sonu Srivastava, Sumit Jha were present on the said occasion. Hundreds of sports lovers including Vikas Singh, Akhilesh Lulan, Kanchan, Renu Kumari, Santosh Tiwari, Ashutosh Kumar, Yatindra Kumar, Dr Ravi Shankar, Sanjeev Kumar, Sukhlal Mardi were present. The programme was presided over by BJP Sport Cell convenor Satish Raju.
