Banka beat Munger in Randhir Verma Under-19 Cricket Tournament

Jhajha: Banka defeated Munger by 62 runs in the seventh match of Randhir Verma Under-19 Cricket Tournament Angika Zone being played at Local Railway Chandwari Ground, Jhajha, Jamui.

Batting first, Banka scored 262 runs losing 9 wickets in 50 overs. Avinash contributed 76 runs, Vineet and Raj Kapoor contributed 31 runs each and Ankit and Rishav contributed 29 runs each. For Munger, Prateek took 3 wickets and Rajneesh took 2 wickets. Munger’s team, which came to chase 262 runs, could score only 200 runs after losing 8 wickets in 50 overs. Batsman Asraf Amin played a fighting unbeaten inning of 110 runs and Anmol contributed 22 runs. Banka’s Santosh, Vikrant and Aditya took 2 wickets each and Avinash took 1 wicket.

Banka’s Avinash was given the Man of the Match award by Laxman Jha, President of Jamui District Private School and Children Welfare Association.
