Ankit Singh’s Century Powers Katihar to Victory Over Supaul in BCA Senior Men’s Cricket Tournament

Purnia, May 9: Ankit Singh from Katihar shone with a spectacular century in the BCA Senior Men’s Cricket Tournament match held on Thursday at the Green Valley Gulabbagh grounds. His phenomenal innings led Katihar to a convincing nine-wicket victory over Supaul.

Supaul, led by captain Rajesh Singh, opted to bat first and managed to score 154 runs, losing all their wickets in 41.4 overs. Ankit Raj top-scored for Supaul with 41 runs, supported by contributions from Jai Vardhan (27 runs), Sadiq Raja (26 runs), and Shivanshu Raj (18 runs).

Katihar’s bowlers put up an impressive performance, with Ayush Kumar and Khalid Alam each claiming three wickets, while Priyanshu took two wickets.

In response, Katihar chased down the target comfortably, reaching 155 runs for the loss of just one wicket in 20.1 overs. Ankit Singh remained unbeaten with a remarkable 104 runs off 59 balls, ably supported by Abhishek who scored an unbeaten 45 runs off 60 balls. Vineet Anand took the lone wicket for Supaul.
