Anand Sagar wins senior boys 5000 m gold; St Dominic Savio School lift volleyball title

Patna: Anant Sagar of Girja Kunwar Higher Secondary School won the gold medal in Boys Under-19 5000 meter race of Patna District Level School Sports Meet with a timing of 21 minutes 47.17 seconds. The silver and bronze medals of the same event wen to Jitendra Kumar (23 minutes 11.37 seconds) and Shashi Prakash (24 minutes 58.39 seconds) of Mahadev High School respectively.

On the second day of the four-day Patna district level school sports mmet organized by the District Administration, Patna under the joint aegis of Art, Culture and Youth Department and Bihar State Sports Authority at the local Patliputra Sports Complex, the title of Boys Under-19 Volleyball went to St Dominic Savio School. They defeated Narayana High School in straight sets 25-13, 25-19.

In Boys Under-14 vollyball, Nazareth Academy won the title by defeating Usha Martin School 25-10, 25-11. In the girls category Under-14 volleyball match, Middle School Mokama won the title by defeating G.D. Goenka School 25-11, 25-15.

In the first semi-final of Boys Under-14 Kho-Kho event that started on Tuesday, MS Kandap, Sampatchak defeated Shivam Convent, Kankarbagh by 3 points. In the second semi-final, Mahila Charkha Samiti Middle School defeated Middle School, Sabneema, Athamalgola by 6 points. In the first semi-final of Girls Under-14, St. Joseph’s Convent Girls School, Barh defeated Mount Everest, Kankarbagh by 4 points and in the second semi-final, Mahila Charkha Samiti Middle School, Mogalpura defeated Nathan International School by 14 points.

In the first semi-final of Girls Under-17, Narayani Girls Higher Secondary School defeated Tribhuvan Higher Secondary School, Naubatpur by 4 points, while in the second semi-final, St Joseph’s Convent, Barh defeated Shivam Convent, Kankarbagh by 5 points.

In the first semi-final of Girls Under-19 Kho-Kho, Smt. Girja Kunwar High School, Masaurhi, defeated St Joseph’s Convent, Barh by 1 point, while in the second semi-final, RPS Public School defeated Usha Martin Sampatchak by 1 point and reached the final.
