Patna: On the first day of AITA Championship Series at Zirakpur (Punjab), Harsh Agassi and Kartikey Agassi (both from Bihar) won their first round matches easily.
Kartikey Agassi defeated Arihant Siwach of Uttar Pradesh in his under- 16 first round match 6-1, 6-0 and in his under-18 age group match, Kartikey’s opponent Joy Das from Uttar Pradesh conceded the match at 4-0 where Kartikey was leading by 4 games to 0. Kartikey is third seed in under-16 age group and sixth seed in under -18 age group.
Harsh Agassi defeated Purhan Gupta from Haryana 6-0, 6-0. Harsh is 7th seed in the under-18 age group.
Meanwhile, on the first day of AITA National Series at Jhajjar (Haryana), Bihar’s Hansika Singh got a walkover and she moved into the second round where she will play against India no. 67, Aditi Rawat from Haryana.
