Patna: Bihar lost to Saurashtra by nine wickets in the Men’s U-25 State A Trophy match played at Jaipura Vidyalaya Ground in Jaipur on Friday. Bihar batting first scored 160 runs losing all wickets in 48.5 overs. In reply, Saurashtra scored 166 runs for the loss of one wicket in 17.4 overs.
Bihar captain Akash Raj won the toss and decided to bat first. Barring Akash Raj, all the other batsmen failed to score runs against tight Saurashtra bowling. Akash played a brilliant innings of 92 runs in 137 balls with the help of 6 fours and 3 sixes. Sarman Nigrodh scored 12, Pranay Sanjay Prasad scored 11, Rahul Kumar scored 21 not out runs for Bihar. AH Jadeja took five wickets for 20 runs for Saurashtra.
In reply, Saurashtra had no difficulty chasing the target set by Bihar. Taran Gohel scored 80 not out and Jai Gohil scored 72 not out.
