Patna: Bihar’s promising young cricketer, Vaibhav Suryavanshi, has been selected for the Indian team for two four-day matches against Australia Under-19s to be held in Chennai from September 30. The team has been chosen by the BCCI Junior Selection Committee for the IDFC FIRST Bank Series against Australia. The first match will take place from September 30 to October 3, and the second match from October 7 to October 10.
Regarding Vaibhav’s selection, Bihar Cricket Association President Rakesh Kumar Tiwari stated that Vaibhav is a talented player and that his selection will boost the enthusiasm and passion of other senior and junior players in Bihar to aspire to play for the national team. Tiwari added, “On behalf of Bihar Cricket, we wish him a bright future and hope that Vaibhav will bring laurels to Bihar and the country with his excellent performance.”
After his selection, Vaibhav expressed his gratitude, saying, “We thank Rakesh Kumar Tiwari, the President of the Bihar Cricket Association, for giving me the opportunity to play under the BCA’s leadership. We are also grateful to the BCCI selectors for giving me a chance to represent the country.”
Other officials of the Bihar Cricket Association also congratulated Vaibhav on his selection.
