Yogi govt initiates revitalization of four hospitals, including Civil Hospital

Lucknow: To ensure quality healthcare services for the people of Uttar Pradesh, the Yogi government has initiated the revitalization process for four main state hospitals. In alignment with CM Yogi’s vision for the modernization of hospitals, a detailed action plan has been developed.

Working on this, the state government has commenced the renovation process for Gautam Buddha Nagar’s District Hospital, Hospital of Siddharth Nagar (Bansi), Maharaja Chet Singh Hospital of Bhadohi, and Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee (Civil) Hospital in Lucknow. Thousands of modern medical equipment will be purchased to complete the upgradation process in these three hospitals.

Simultaneously, the plan to equip hospitals with modern furniture and equipment will also be completed. In this sequence, administrative and financial approval has been given for the allocation of total funds of Rs 9.98 crore, and instructions have also been issued by the government to complete all these proposed works expeditiously.

Makeover of hospitals will cost crores of rupees

CM Yogi’s commitment to enhancing healthcare facilities is being realized through the ongoing implementation of the action plan for hospital upgrades in the state. It is noteworthy that the Hospital of Siddharthnagar (Bansi) will incur an expenditure of a total of 3.25 crores for the purchase of thousands of medical equipment, furniture, and other furnishings for more than 205 units.

Similarly, the District Hospital in Gautam Buddh Nagar will spend 2.98 crore, Maharaja Chet Singh Hospital in Bhadohi will spend 2.36 crore, and Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee (Civil) Hospital in Lucknow will spend 1.47 crore for the purchase of medical equipment. All these procurement and upgradation processes will be completed under the supervision of the Director General of the Medical and Health Services Department as per the rulebook of the Uttar Pradesh Government.

The Ophthalmic Operating Microscope is the main medical equipment for purchase in Lucknow Civil Hospital. A budget of Rs 45 lakh has been allocated for the procurement of this microscope, which holds significant importance in various aspects. Similarly, for the Hospital of Siddharthnagar (Bansi), the process of purchasing essential equipment, including the Emergency Unit, ICU Ward, Operation Theater, Dental, Orthopedic, EMT, Pathology, Physiotherapy, and Radiology, has been ensured. On the same lines, the process of medical equipment modernization will also be implemented in Maharaja Chet Singh Hospital of Bhadohi and District Hospital of Gautam Buddha Nagar.
