Bhagalpur: Four players in boys U-17 section and as many in in boys U-19 sections qualified for the main draw of the Li-Ning Bihar State Junior (U-17/19, B/G)Ranking Badminton Tournament at Indoor Badminton Hall here on Saturday.
Qualifying round matches were played today. However, the tournament will be formally inaugurated on Sunday (August 20). Rajiv Kant Mishra, vice chairman, Bihar Bal Shramik Aayog. Dayanidhan Pandey, divisional commissioner, Bhagalpur division will be chief guest while Yogesh Kumar Sagar, municipal commissioner, Bhagalpur Municipal Corporation will be guest of honour. This information was given by Bihar Badminton Association secretary KN Jaiswal.
The qualifiers in boys U-17 section are Aryan Sinha, Akshar Athrav, Vineet Kumar and Ranveer Singh (all Patna).
The four qualifiers in boys U-19 section are Aditya Ranjan Tiwari, Akshar Athrav, Vineet Kumar (all Patna)and Raunak Kunwar (Muzaffarpur).
