Patna: The trophy to be awarded to the winners and runners-up teams of the third freedom fighter Rajeshwar Rai Prize Money Under-17 School Cricket Tournament, sponsored by Anshul Homes and to be hosted by Anshul Cricket Academy, was unveiled at the office of Anshul Homes on Sunday. The trophy was unveiled jointly by JD(U) Bihar state general secretary Vinod Kumar Singh, MD of Anshul Homes Rahul Singh, academy director Sandesh Singh, organising secretary Akash Kumar and Danapur block JD (U) leaders Manoj Kumar and Roshan Kumar.
On this occasion, Rahul Singh said that our company has always been working for the development of the players. He said that in this tournament many awards including best batter, best bowler would be given along with man of the match every day. Along with this, arrangements have been made for boarding and lodging for the teams coming from outside Patna, he said.
He said winners will be given a cash prize of Rs 25000 and runner-up will get Rs 15000 and other prizes.
Orange Cap will be given to top scorer will top bowler will get Purple Cap. Rahul Singh said Anshul Homes will adopt three best players of the tournament under its play and study scheme.
Academy director Sandesh Singh said that the tournament will be played on knock out basis. The match will be of 30-30 overs. Matches will be officiated by panel umpires. He said that the players would be provided the facility of net practice before the match. The matches will be played on turf wickets.
