Patna: Win Academy defeated Xavier’s International School by 7 wickets in the prestigious and most popular 37th All India Sukhdeo Narain Memorial Inter School Cricket Tournament organised by the BPS Foundation for Youth Welfare, under the aegis of the Indu Narain Foundation, at Urja Stadium on Thursday. With this win, Win Academy entered the quarterfinals from Pool B.
In the second match of the day, Knowledge Valley School defeated Mahavidha Global School by 2 wickets and got 3 points in Pool C.
Shubham Singh of Win Academy, who took 5 wickets by giving away 20 runs, was felicitated by organising secretary Bijoy Kumar Narayan Chunnu with the man of the match award, while Knowledge Valley School’s KK Agastya, who took 2 wickets for 21 runs, was awarded the Kamla Sports man of the match award by Anjani Kumar.
In today’s first match, the team of Mahavidha Global School got all out by scoring 124 runs in 24.5 overs while batting first. In reply, Knowledge Valley School scored 125 runs, losing 8 wickets in 22 overs.
Batting first in the second match, the Xavier’s International School team got all out after scoring 71 runs in 21.3 overs. In reply, Win Academy’s team lost 3 wickets in 11.5 overs and scored the required 75 runs to win.
