Patna: SKP Cricket Academy will face Lakshya Cricket Academy in the final of Kusumraj Maniam Gold Cup Under-17 Inter School Cricket Tournament.
In the first semi-final played on Saturday at the Sanjay Gandhi Stadium, SKP Cricket Academy defeated Lalmati Devi High School by 6 wickets. In the second semi-final, Lakshya Cricket Academy defeated the State Coaching Centre in the super over. Suraj (SKP) and Sameer (Lakshya Cricket Academy) were awarded the player of the match award.
Organising secretary Santosh Tiwari said that the final match will be played on Monday from 7.30 am. The prize distribution will be held at 11.30am
In the first semi-finals, Lalmati Devi High School won the toss and scored 93 for 8 wickets in 25 overs. In reply, SKP Cricket Academy scored 94 runs for four wickets in 17.5 overs and won the match.
In the second match, Lakshya Cricket Academy won the toss and batting first, scored 132 runs for seven wickets in 25 overs. In reply, State Coaching Center scored 132 runs for 8 wickets and tied the match. After this, the State Coaching Center was not able to score a run in the super over and Lakshya Cricket Academy scored 1 run and won the match.
