Patna: Five players from Bihar have been selected in the Indian team for the Asian Sambo championship to be held in Tashkent from June 6 to June 11.
Bihar Art Culture and Youth Department Minister Jitendra Rai and Director General of Bihar State Sports Authority Raveendra Sankaran, Sambo Association of Bihar Secretary Vinay Kumar Singh and Praveen Kumar aka Piku Rai met the players and wished them all the best.
The minister also presented track suits to all the players. The players are: Abhilasha Kumari 54 kg; . Abhijeet Kumar 88 kg; Prince Kumar Pandey 70 kg; Bhorik Singh Yadav 88+ kg and Poonam Yadav 58 kg.
