Patna: The 34th National Sub Junior (Boys and Girls) Kabaddi Championship will be held at GD Goenka Public School, Gaya, from March 27 to March 30. The event is being organised under the auspices of the Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India and hosted by the Bihar State Kabaddi Association and the Gaya District Kabaddi Association. This information was shared by Kumar Vijay Singh, Chairman of the Bihar State Kabaddi Association.
Singh said that an organising committee has been formed to ensure the successful execution of the championship. Ravindra Singh Rathore, Chairman of GD Goenka Public School, will serve as the Organising President, while Anand Shankar Tiwari will act as the Organising Secretary, and Jitendra Kumar will be the Convenor.
A total of 58 teams, including the Sports Authority of India, will participate in both categories of the tournament. Four courts will be set up on the school premises for the matches, which will be played on mat courts. The Amateur Kabaddi Federation of India has appointed 50 technical officials to oversee the matches, with Ajit Kumar (International Kabaddi Referee) serving as the in-charge. Additionally, Rana Ranjit Singh, an International Kabaddi Referee, has been appointed as the supervisor by the Bihar State Kabaddi Association.
Ravindra Singh Rathore, Organising President and Chairman of GD Goenka Public School, expressed pride in the school and the residents of Gaya for being chosen to host the national championship. He assured that the event would be hosted with excellence, ensuring all necessary facilities for players, coaches, technical officials, and guests. He also mentioned that participants would be taken on visits to prominent tourist destinations such as Bodh Gaya, Rajgir, and Nalanda.
