It is noteworthy that, as per the intention of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation (UPPCL) had promised uninterrupted power supply to all areas of the state on the occasion of Dussehra, Dhanteras and Diwali. For this, the necessary instructions were given by the department to all the concerned officers and DISCOMS. After Dussehra, UPPCL is now gearing up for uninterrupted supply at upcoming festivals.

Uninterrupted supply from sunset to sunrise
Chairman of Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation, Dr. Ashish Kumar Goyal said that a decision has been taken to ensure uninterrupted power supply to the state on the occasion of major festivals. In this way, the target of 24 hours of power supply on Dussehra has been achieved.
He added that on the instructions of CM Yogi and Energy Minister AK Sharma, the target of 24-hour power supply will be achieved with everyone’s cooperation, even during the upcoming festivals.
He said that before Dussehra, on the occasion of Navratri, electricity supply in the state was better, and it was supplied to all the areas as per the fixed schedule. Officials engaged in distribution have been asked to ensure uninterrupted power supply from sunset to sunrise during festivals.
Sharma further said that the Managing Directors of DISCOMs, Chief Engineers and officials of Electricity Corporation were directed to ensure power supply to Shakti Peethas and religious places as per the prescribed schedule on the occasion of Navratri, and the task was successfully accomplished, and now they are preparing to maintain uninterrupted power supply during future events as well.
