Yogi Govt embarks on industrial development of Chitrakoot and Jhansi nodes

  • Yogi Govt to showcase industrial plots of both nodes in Bundelkhand
  • UPEDA displays 383.01 & 160.62 acres of land in Jhansi and Chitrakoot respectively as industrial land bank

Lucknow: Committed to accelerating industrial development of Uttar Pradesh, the Yogi government is now focusing on Bundelkhand region of the state. In this sequence, efforts are being made to benefit Jhansi and Chitrakoot nodes.

The details of the industrial plots of these two nodes have been issued afresh by the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA). It is mainly a short description of the available industrial plots in the industrial land banks of the two nodes, including the area and its estimated current price.

CM Yogi has always laid special emphasis on development of Bundelkhand and this is the reason Industrial Development Department, UPSIDA, UPEIDA and different departments are making continuous efforts in this regard.

UPEIDA’s effort is to present the industrial plots listed under Industrial Land Banks in the Jhansi and Chitrakoot node to the investors and industrialists afresh for auction. A total of 38 plots have been listed in the Chitrakoot node at the rate of Rs 433.57 per square meter and 45 industrial plots in Jhansi at the rate of Rs 362.28 per square meter.

In this way, 160.62 acres of land in Chitrakoot and 383.01 acres in Jhansi are currently being showcased by UPEIDA. UPEIDA has sought applications from interested investors and entrepreneurs for allotment of land on these nodes through the Nivesh Mitra portal.

Listings of de-notified areas released

Recently an important step was also taken by UPEIDA regarding the proposed 8-lane access-controlled expressway project between Greater Noida and Ballia. Under this, notifications related to villages that were earlier authorized as development areas of UPEIDA have been de-notified.

All the tehsils and villages of those districts have been mentioned and de-notified from this project. The areas that have been de-notified from this project include Badaun, Lucknow, Kanpur Nagar, Gautam Budh Nagar, Aligarh, Ghazipur, Ballia, Mirzapur, Varanasi, Sant Ravidas Nagar, Bulandshahr, Prayagraj, Kanshi Ram Nagar, Hardoi, Pratapgarh, Farrukhabad, Shahjahanpur, Rae Bareli and Unnao. It includes 41 tehsils of total 19 districts.
