Patna: A brilliant batting from Harshit Anand (57 runs) and Anup Kumar (42 not out) and four- wicket haul by Aditya Shivam helped Bihar beat Mizoram by 103 runs in their third match of Vinoo Mankad Trophy after suffering two defeats in the earlier two matches at Jadavpur University Second Campus ground in Kolkata on Monday.
Bihar won the toss and elected to bat first. Batting first, Bihar scored 236 runs off 50 overs. Abhiraj Dutta (23), captain Kumar Shrey (0), Yashasvi Shukla (11), Ayush Anand (21), Ayush Anand (21), Shivam Kumar (31), Harshit Anand (57), Md Kaif (0), Md Izhar (0), Anup Kumar (42 not out ), Akhand Pratap Singh (17) and Aditya Shivam (2) were the contributors. Extra added 26 runs to Bihar’s total.
For Mizoram, K Vanrotlinga (1 for 33 runs), Prem Layak (1 for 38 runs), Karan (1 for 50 runs), Johan (2 for 27 runs), Ahma (2 for 27 runs), Ram Leena (1 for 25 runs) were the wicket takers.
In reply, Mizoram were all out for 133 runs in 34.2 overs. For Mizoram, Johan scored 65, Vanmala made 1, K Vanrotlinga scored 34, Karan scored 6, Prem Layak made 3 and Ahma scored 2 runs.
For Bihar, Md Izhar took one wicket for 17 runs, Md Kaif bagged one wicket for 10 runs, Anup Kumar took 2 wicket for 33 runs and Aditya Shivam took 4 wickets for 22 runs.
