Vijay Merchant Trophy: Jharkhand take first innings lead over Bihar

Patna: Jharkhand took a lead of 104 runs in the first innings over Bihar in U-16 Vijay Merchant Trophy match at MCA Stadium in Pune. After winning the toss and electing to bat, Bihar team was all out for just 65 runs, while the Jharkhand team was playing at 169 runs for four wickets till the end of the first day’s play.

Batting for Bihar, Adarsh Sinha scored 33 runs, while Laliteshwar Bhadauria scored an unbeaten 22 runs. For Jharkhand, Chaitanya took 5 wickets, Vibhu took 3 wickets and Satyam took one wicket, while one player was run out.

In reply, the Jharkhand team scored 169 runs for four wickets at the end of the first day’s play. Jharkhand’s Krish Sharma was out after scoring 56 runs, Chaitanya was out without opening the account, Om Kamati was out after scoring 6 runs, Adarsh Vishal was out after scoring 7 runs, Arun Priyadarshi was not out on 87 runs and Saket Kumar was unbeaten on 4 runs. For Bihar, Adarsh took 2 wickets and Shaan took one wicket, while one player was run out.
