Lucknow: Indian athletes continued to shine brightly in the Asian Games on Wednesday, securing three gold medals. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath joined in celebrating their achievements, expressing his delight over the Indian athletes’ outstanding performance. He personally conveyed his congratulations to each gold medalist on the social media platform X.
CM Yogi first congratulated the Indian pair Ojas Praveen and Jyoti Surekha, who won gold for India in the Asian Games for the first time in archery and made this record in the mixed team compound event. CM Yogi’s message read, “Ojas and Jyoti Surekha won India’s first gold medal in archery by defeating Korea with a score of 159-158 in the Asian Games. Their impeccable performance and teamwork led to this momentous victory. We take immense pride in our champions, Jai Hind.”
In the javelin throw event, world champion Neeraj Chopra defended his gold medal at the Asian Games, while another Indian, Kishore Kumar Jena, won the silver medal. CM Yogi congratulated both players and wrote, ‘Congratulations to Neeraj Chopra for winning the gold medal with a remarkable throw of 88.88 meters and to Kishore Kumar Jena for his outstanding silver medal achievement, marked by a personal best throw of 87.54 meters. We take great pride in their accomplishments, Jai Hind.’
Furthermore, India clinched the top spot in the men’s 4×400 meter relay event. Praising the members of the Indian team, CM Yogi posted, “India’s athletic talent is shining brightly. Congratulations to the men’s 4X400m relay team, comprising Mohammed Anas Yahiya, Amoj Jacob, Mohammed Ajmal and Rajesh Ramesh, who won the gold medal in the Asian Games with an impressive timing of 3:01.58, Jai Hind.’
