Catherine Russell and a five-member UNICEF team meets CM Yogi

Lucknow: Catherine Russell, the Executive Director of UNICEF (the United Nations Children’s Fund), held a meeting with Chief Minister Yogi Adiyanath on Wednesday. Russell, accompanied by a team of five UNICEF members, engaged in discussions with the Chief Minister on matters related to promoting and protecting child rights in the state.

UNICEF’s Global Chief of Staff and Director, Kirsi Mandy, UNICEF Representative in India Cynthia McCaffrey, UNICEF UP Chief, Zachary Adam, and UNICEF UP Program Manager, Amit Malhotra, were present during the meeting.

Additionally, a representative from the state government, the Secretary of Child Development and Nutrition, was present on this occasion.

It’s important to note that UNICEF operates in over 190 countries around the world, focusing on assisting underprivileged children and youth in challenging circumstances. UNICEF collaborates with governments to advance and safeguard the rights of children.
