Patna: Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University (TMBU) defeated Osmania University, Hyderabad 35-28, 35-22 in the first match of Pool C of the All India Inter University Ball Badminton Championship being played at Mangalore University, Karnataka.
Dr. Vipin Prasad Mandal, manager of Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University’s ball badminton team, stated that captain Ankit Kumar Sharma, Abhinash Kumar, Suraj Kumar, Md. Saif Ali, and Gulshan Kumar performed well in this men’s category match.
In another match, Lalit Narayan Mithila University (LNMU) Darbhanga defeated BR Ambedkar University Andhra Pradesh 35-22,35-29 to enter the next round. Badri Kumar Yadav, Sonu Kumar, Nayan Kumar, Prince Kumar performed brilliantly for Lalit Narayan Mithila University.
Patna University, the third university team from Bihar is also participating in the championship. Patna University lost 35-25, 35-28 to MG University, Kottayam, Kerala in a hard-fought match. Gauri Shankar, secretary of the Bihar Ball Badminton Association, gave this information.
