Patna: There is good news for the budding cricketers of Bihar as the organisers of the School Cricket U-15 League have announced the start of its third edition in November.
Giving this information organising president cum Turning Point MD Vijay Sharma said that 12 teams will participate in the School Cricket League for Under-15 to be organised by Turning Point. He said that the players will be selected through open trials for the formation of 12 teams. Each team will be bought by the country’s top colleges and universities.
He said that all the teams playing in this league, organised on the lines of IPL, will be provided with colour dress by franchise owner.
He said that the matches would be organised on a league basis. The format of the match will be 20-20 overs a side. The selection trial for the formation of teams will be conducted at four centers in Patna. The venue and date of the selection trial will be announced next month.
Sharma said that man of the match award will be given every day. Apart from this, the winning and runner-up teams will be given glittering trophies as well as individual prizes. Along with this, some special prizes will also be given this time. Awards will be given for best bowler, best batsman and man of the league, best wicketkeeper, best fielder and promising player.
He said that we have successfully organised two editions and distributed its prizes by organising a separate function. Legendary players, coaches and others are honoured in this function. He said that this year’s prize distribution function will also be spectacular.
