Patna: Under the auspices of Education Department, Art, Culture and Youth Department Bihar, Bihar State Sports Authority and District Administration, Patna, the three-day (March 16 to 18 2023) Patna Divisional Level Tarang Talent Sports Festival began at Patliputra Sports Complex on Thursday. On the first day, athlets of Patna district dominated the proceedings by winning 2 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze medals in the boys’ athletics competition, while in the kabaddi girls’ category, Patna won the title by defeating Nalanda 64-33.
Earlier, the festival was duly inaugurated by the District Magistrate of Patna Dr Chandrashekhar Singh by hoisting the flag. Deputy Development Commissioner of Patna Tanay Sultania was present as a special guest on the occasion. District Sports Officer, Patna Om Prakash was also present on the stage. At the opening function, selected players from all the 6 districts of Patna Division performed a march past. Bihar State Sports Authority’s Director-cum-Secretary, Pankaj Kumar Raj awarded medals and trophies to the winners.
