Patna: Tamil Nadu defeated Bihar by an innings and 220 runs in the Cooch Behar Trophy match held at the Moinul Haq Stadium, Patna. Bihar were all out for 74 runs in the first innings, while Tamil Nadu scored 388 runs in the first innings and took a lead of 314 runs over Bihar. Even in the second innings, the batsmen of Bihar team could not do anything special, and the entire team was all out after scoring 94 runs in 28 overs.
On the second day of the match, Tamil Nadu’s undefeated batsman Andre Siddharth scored a double 218 runs for his team. Tamil Nadu’s Abhinav Kannan was out after scoring 4 runs, Madhava Prasad scored 35 runs, Akshay scored 31 runs and P Vignesh scored 4 runs. Sai Karthik was out after scoring 23 runs, R Praveen scored 58 runs.
For Bihar, Anup Kumar and Satyam Kumar took 4 wickets each and Aditya Shivam took two wickets. In Bihar’s second innings, Animesh scored 15 runs. Vaibhav scored 5 runs, Alam scored 4 runs and Chandan scored 23 runs.
Tamil Nadu’s P Vignesh took 5 wickets, Sachin and Karthik Manikanandan took 2 wickets each and R Praveen took one wicket.
