Patna: The Diamant Cup FIDE Rating Chess Tournament concluded today at Hotel Diamant Inn on Gola Road, Patna, after an intense nine-round competition. Sudhir Kumar Sinha from the Department of Posts, Patna, emerged victorious with eight points, securing the top position and earning a cash prize of ₹50,000. His victory also boosted his FIDE rating by 19 points.
In the final round, Sudhir Kumar Sinha shared points with Vivek Sharma of Patna but maintained a half-point lead to clinch the title.

The runner-up position saw four players tied with seven and a half points, with rankings determined by tie-break scores:
- 2nd Place: Sayan Bhattacharjee (West Bengal)
- 3rd Place: Vivek Sharma (Patna)
- 4th Place: Rangit Majumdar
- 5th Place: Rupesh Ramchandra
Prize Distribution Ceremony
The winners were honoured during the prize distribution ceremony by the President and Secretary of the All Bihar Chess Association, Diljeet Khanna and Dharmendra Kumar, respectively. The event also saw the presence of former Secretary Ajit Kumar Singh, Vice President Jai Prakash Sinha, Tournament Director Sanjeet Saurabh, Chief Judge Nandkishore, and International Chess Judge Arvind Kumar Singh.
International Arbiter Arvind Kumar Singh managed the stage, while Shashi Nand Kumar, the tournament convener, delivered the vote of thanks.
