Patna: St Joseph’s High Scholl and Loyola High School moved into the final of junior girls group in the Dr Shatrughan Prasad Memorial Inter-School Table Tennis Championship at Bihar Young Men’s Institute here on Saturday.
In senior boys team event St Michael’s High School beat DAV School, BSEB Colony 3-0 to win the title.
About 100 players drawn from different schools are taking part in the tournament. The tournament will witness senior, junior boys and girls team championships at singles events.
Earlier, the tournament was inaugurated by MLC Dr Rajendra Prasad Gupta, Bihar Table Tennis Assosictaion secretary Rajiv Ratan Singh proposed a vote of thanks.
Former Bihar Table Tennis association secretary Mukesh Roy, deputy secretary Sanjay Kumar, former state champion Dileep Gandhi, national players Kishan Raj, Somnath Roy, Piyush D Gandhi and others were present on the occasion.
