Patna: In the super semi-final of the All India Sukhdeo Narain Memorial Inter-School Cricket Tournament at Jagjivan Stadium, Khagaul, SDV Public School and Gravity High School emerged victorious. SDV Public School defeated Dony Polo Public School by 6 wickets, while Gravity High School claimed a 22-run win over Cambridge Public School.
Rishabh Raj Shines in SDV’s Victory
In the first match, Dony Polo Public School won the toss and opted to bat but were bowled out for a modest total of 86 runs in 18.3 overs. Amartya Chaudhary was the top scorer with 13 runs, while Piyush added 12, Rohit Pandey 10, and Hrithik Seth remained unbeaten on 11.
Rishabh Raj led SDV Public School’s bowling attack with an impressive 4 wickets for just 14 runs, while Devansh Ashwal took 2 wickets for 3 runs.
In response, SDV Public School comfortably chased down the target, scoring 87 for 4 wickets in 13.3 overs. Abhishek Kumar remained unbeaten on 36, supported by Kumar Shan with 23 not out.
From Dony Polo’s side, Amartya Chaudhary, Ujjwal, Priyanshu Kumar Pratik, and Rohit Pandey each claimed a wicket. Rishabh Raj of SDV Public School was named Player of the Match by former Ranji player Nikhilesh Ranjan.
Gravity High School Overcome Cambridge Public School
In the second match, Gravity High School won the toss and posted a formidable 182 for 6 wickets in 20 overs. Mukesh Yadav top-scored with an unbeaten 48, while Parth contributed 37 runs.
Cambridge Public School put up a spirited chase but fell short, managing only 160 for 8 wickets in their 20 overs, despite a valiant 53 runs from Yash Raj. Saman was the star bowler for Gravity High School, taking 4 wickets for 17 runs, and was awarded Player of the Match by Prabhat Kumar and Abhitabh Palit.
