Patna: Saksham Vatsa of Patna clinched a grand treble, winning boys U-17, boys U-19 singles and boys U-19 doubles titles at the Hundred Bihar Junior (U 17 and 19) State Ranking Badminton Tournament in Ara on Wednesday.
Similarly, Srija of Patna won a grand double, winning the girls U-17 and U-19 singles crowns.
In the boys U-17 final, Saksham Vatsa beat Ranveer Singh of Patna 21-10, 21-19 while in the U-19 boys singles final Saksham beat Rudra Kashhyap of Motihari 21-16, 18-21, 21-14.
In the U-17 girls singles final, Srija beat Vaibhavi Singh of Katihar 21-09, 21-11 while in the U-19 girls singles final, she beat the same opponent 21-9, 21-19.
In the boys U-19 doubles final, Rishav Raj and Saksham Vatsa beat the pair of Priyanshu Sinha and Rupesh Raj 21-18, 22-20 to claim the title.
Later, distinguished guests and Bihar Badminton Association secretary KN Jaiswal gave away the prizes.
