Patna: Saint Teresa and Sipahi Bhagat Foundation emerged victorious in the boys’ and girls’ categories, respectively, at the Sipahi Bhagat Memorial Inter-School Kho-Kho Tournament.
In the boys’ final, Saint Teresa defeated Sipahi Bhagat Foundation by 1 inning and 4 points. In the girls’ final, Sipahi Bhagat Foundation triumphed over Saint Teresa by 5 points.
In the boys’ semi-finals, Sipahi Bhagat Foundation narrowly beat Christ Church by 1 point, while Saint Teresa secured a win against Open Mind A Birla School by 5 points. In the girls’ semi-finals, Saint Teresa defeated Mother International School by 1 inning and 2 points, and Sipahi Bhagat Foundation overcame Indirapuram by 6 points.
Ranjit of Saint Teresa was named Best Player in the boys’ category, with Pratyush of Open Mind winning Best Chaser and Shanu of Saint Teresa taking Best Defender. In the girls’ category, Aastha of Sipahi Bhagat Foundation received the Best Player award, Pranita of Open Mind was named Best Chaser, and Ankita of Saint Teresa won Best Defender.
Shaurya Chakra recipient Colonel Sanjeev Sirohi, the chief guest, presented the awards. The school’s principal, Paljinder Pal Singh, and special guest Naik Subedar A.K. Manzil were also present, alongside dignitaries including Middle Wing Coordinator Poonam Pandey, Primary Wing Coordinator Nupur, Pre-Primary Wing Coordinator Momita Sen, School Sports Head Karandhir Sharma, and Sardar Patel Sports Foundation founder Santosh Tiwari.
