Saba Karim visits YCC Cricket Academy in Patna

Patna: Former Indian cricketer Syed Saba Karim visited YCC Cricket Academy, Rajendra Nagar (Patna) from where he learnt the ABC of cricket and reached the international level. During his interaction with the budding cricketers, he advised them to play the game with full dedication.

Saba also promised to help the YCC Cricket Academy in possible way. Former general manager of the Board of Control for Cricket in India, Saba Karim alias Cheeku came to the ground with his mentor Adhikari Madan Mohan Prasad, fellow players Ram Kumar and Mahfuz Kanwar.

The trainees greeted Saba Karim by clapping. Santosh Kumar, the current coach of the academy, welcomed the former Indian wicket-keeper with a bouquet and a memento. Saba Karim narrated the things of his old days. On this occasion, Saba Karim also announced an award for the children of this academy. He said that from this session the best male and female cricketer of this academy will be honoured.

Many dignitaries including Ranjit Kumar Singh, Ranveer Mehta, Ayush Sir, Sanjay Kumar Mantu and coach Rahul ji were present on this occasion. Mrityunjay Jha conducted the function.
