Azamgarh: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited Azamgarh on Monday where he conducted a review meeting on the development projects currently underway in the division at the Collectorate auditorium and gathered updates from officials on the law and order situation across the three districts of Azamgarh, Ballia, and Mau.

During his visit, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath gathered information on revenue, law and order, the electricity system, and cow shelters, providing essential guidelines as needed. He also held a meeting with public representatives from the division.
CM Yogi spent about 4 hours in the district, where the administration had made comprehensive preparations for his arrival. Additionally, the Chief Minister inspected the ongoing construction of the Harihar Sangeet Mahavidyalaya.
This was the Chief Minister’s first visit to the district since the Lok Sabha elections. On Monday, he arrived at the Police Lines helipad by helicopter from Gorakhpur and then traveled by car to the Collectorate building. There, he met with public representatives from the division.
In the afternoon, CM Yogi conducted a divisional review meeting at the Collectorate auditorium, focusing on development works and law and order. The meeting was attended by officers from Azamgarh district and local public representatives, while officials from other districts joined via virtual means.
The Chief Minister emphasized the need for timely and high-quality implementation of public interest and welfare schemes. He directed that development projects be monitored consistently, stating, “Appoint a dedicated nodal officer for each project, who must provide a progress report every week. Senior officers should review the projects every 15 days.”
He insisted that all projects be completed on schedule with a focus on quality. “No project should face delays,” he asserted. Additionally, the Chief Minister stressed the importance of managing traffic flow, ensuring that vehicles are not parked on roads and the street vendors properly organized to prevent congestion.
The Chief Minister reviewed the water levels of the Ghaghra river in the Deora area of Sagdi tehsil and issued instructions to stay vigilant regarding potential floods. He also inquired about the current preparations for flood management.
During a review meeting on law and order, the CM emphasized the need for stringent action against criminals, stressing that no negligence will be tolerated. He further directed that strict measures be taken against all forms of mafia activity.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s review meeting at the Collectorate auditorium extended for over two hours. The session was attended by key officials, including Azamgarh Divisional Commissioner Manish Chauhan, DIG Vaibhav Krishna, DM Vishal Bhardwaj, SP Hemraj Meena, and other senior district officials.
State government cabinet ministers AK Sharma, Dara Singh Chauhan, Danish Ansari, MLC Vijay Bahadur Pathak, Ramsurat Rajbhar, former MLC Yashwant Singh, and former MP Dinesh Lal Yadav Nirahua were also present. Additionally, officials from Mau and Ballia districts participated virtually.
Throughout the meeting, the CM systematically gathered updates on development projects and law and order from each participant.
