Rest of Western Zone and Siwan take first innings lead in BAC Super League

Patna: Kaimur were all out for 201 in 59.1 overs in their first innings against Rest of Western Zone in the Super League of the BCA Senior Men’s Cricket tournament being played at the Moinul Haq Stadium. Rest of Western Zone scored 148 for five wickets in 37 overs till the end of the second day’s play in their second innings. Rest of Western Zone scored 252 runs in their first innings. Thus, Rest of West Zone got a lead of 51 runs on the basis of first innings.

Kaimur scored 201 runs in their first innings losing all wickets in 59.1 overs with the help of Ali’s 60 runs. Amrit 24, Shivansh 19, Wasim 22, Shashank 42, Ali 60, Vikas Patel 11, Aditya 10 were the other contributors for Kaimur.

Badal Kanaujia took 2 wickets from Rest of Western Zone, Himanshu took 6 wickets while bowling brilliantly, Jitendra R, Shubham Kumar took one wicket each.

Rest of Western Zone scored 148 runs for five wickets in 37 overs in their second innings. Prashant scored 47 runs, Ravi Kumar Sharma made 11 runs, while Ashutosh remained unbeaten on 58 runs and Aditya on 22 runs.

For Kaimur, Gaurav took two wickets for 11 runs, Vikas Patel took two wickets for 45 runs and Dhanesh took one wicket for 22 runs.

In the second day’s match between Siwan and Rest of Patliputra Zone at the Green Valley ground in Gulab Bagh, Siwan started at 260/8 and added 55 runs to yesterday’s score before being all out for 315. Faheem Anwar scored 43 runs for Siwan, Shabbir Khan scored 73 not out. Abhishek Babu and Aditya Anand took one wicket each for Rest of Patliputra Zone.

Rest of Patliputra scored 223 runs losing all wickets in the first innings. Siwan got a lead of 92 runs on the basis of first innings. Rishabh Raj scored 58 runs, Santosh Kumar scored 44 runs, Deep Gupta scored 36 runs and Shivraj scored 30 runs for Rest of Patliputra. For Siwan, Tariq Jameel and Manish Giri got four wickets each and Ashraf Khan got 2 wickets.

At the end of the second day’s play, Siwan had scored 57 runs in the second innings losing 2 wickets. For Siwan, Navneet Kumar Singh returned to the pavilion after scoring 24 runs and Pawan Kumar Rai 12 runs, while Sonu Kumar Gupta was on 21 runs. Prakash Babu got both wickets for Rest of Patliputra.
