Ayodhya: The Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh Pema Khandu, along with the members of his cabinet, MLAs and officials were visibly overwhelmed after having the darshan of Ram Lalla in his grand temple on Tuesday. The 70-member delegation, headed by the CM, is the first political delegation from a state to visit Ayodhya after the consecration ceremony.

At the outset of their visit, the dignitaries were accorded a Guard of Honor upon their arrival at Maharshi Valmiki Airport, symbolizing the rich tradition of “Atithi Devo Bhava” (Guest is equivalent to God). Subsequently, they visited the Ram Temple and offered prayers.

The welcoming committee, led by Agriculture and Ayodhya In-charge Minister Surya Pratap Shahi, alongside Roli Singh, the District Panchayat President, Mayor Girish Pati Tripathi, former Mayor Rishikesh Upadhyay, and District Magistrate Nitish Kumar, extended heartfelt greetings to Chief Minister Pema Khandu, his Cabinet Ministers, MLAs, and officials and presented floral bouquets and Angvastras as tokens of hospitality to them.

In a display of cultural richness, local artists enthralled the audience with traditional folk dances in honor of the esteemed guests. Under the vigilant supervision of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, meticulous security arrangements were made to ensure the safety and comfort of the Arunachal Pradesh delegation.

Talking to the media, Chief Minister Pema Khandu said that the delegation comprising 70 members, including cabinet ministers, MLAs, and officials, had come to offer prayers at the Ram temple. Recalling his visit to Ayodhya two years ago during the temple’s construction phase, he expressed elation at witnessing the completion of the historic Ram temple.

Chief Minister Khandu further disclosed plans for establishing Arunachal Bhawan in Ayodhya, underscoring the significance of the Ram temple’s completion after five centuries as a momentous occasion for the nation. “We have written a letter to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath regarding the construction of Arunachal Bhawan in Ayodhya”, he said. He envisioned this milestone heralding a new era of development and prosperity for India.
