Patna: Under the auspices of the Patna Football Association, the Rajkumar Mahaseth Memorial Patna District Senior Division Football League had a grand start at VN Sharma Institute Sports Ground, Khagaul (Danapur Station). In the inaugural match, Raj Milk FC made a great start to their title campaign by defeating PSFA 5-1.
Earlier, the league was inaugurated by Chairman of Patna Football Association and Industries Minister of Bihar Government, Samir Kumar Mahaseth by releasing a balloon in the air and getting introduced to the players. On this occasion, Assistant Sports Officer of East Central Railway Danapur Division Rohit Kumar, Khagaul Nagar president Sujit Kumar, OBC divisional president ECR, Danapur Pradeep Kumar, general secretary of Danapur Division Sports Association Shyam Babu Singh, former general secretary Tanveerul Haq, were present as guests of honor on this occasion. Vidya Bhushan Singh and Satyendra Kumar of Raj Milk FC were also present.
PFA president Ramishwar Prasad welcomed the guests. Secretary Manoj Kumar proposed a vote of thanks.
Raj Milk completely dominated the opening match played on Monday. Subhash Singh scored his team’s first goal in the 28th minute of the game and after this, Subhash Singh scored the second goal in the 45th minute to give the team a 2-0 lead in the first half. The second half was entirely in the name of Mohammad Tauhid of Raj Milk FC. He completed his hat-trick by scoring goals in the 46th minute, 51st minute and 64th minute. On behalf of PSFA, Ketan Kumar gave some consolation to his team by scoring a goal in the 54th minute. Mohammad Tauhid was adjudged player of the match.
The chief referee of the match was Abhay Kumar while the assistant referees were Shubham Kumar and Sunil Kumar. The fourth referee was Gaurav Raj.
Secretary Manoj Kumar said that no match will be played on Tuesday, December 12. The match will be played as per the schedule announced on December 13.
