Purnia, June 7: Bowlers hogged the limelight in the Seemanchal Zone match of Shyamal Sinha Inter District Under-16 Cricket Tournament held at the local Green Valley Stadium. Mohammad Kaif of Purnia took 5 wickets while Onkar and Aarav of Madhepura took 3 wickets each. Finally Purnia won the low scoring match defeating Madhepura by 3 wickets.
Madhepura captain decided to bat after winning the toss. Madhepura scored only 68 runs after losing 10 wickets in 32.3 overs in a 40 over match. Onkar Kumar of Madhepura scored 21 runs in 43 balls, Ayushman scored 12 runs in 30 balls, Ankit Kumar scored 10 runs in 13 balls.
