Patna: PYFC and PSFA won their respective matches of the Rekha Devi Patna District Junior Division Football League at Sanjay Gandhi Stadium here on Monday. In the first match, PSFA defeated Musallahpur FC 1-0 while PYFC defeated Gulzarbagh FC 4-0.
In the first match, a fierce battle between the two teams was seen. When the match was nearing to its end, PSFA’s Aditya Kumar scored a goal in the 88th minute to give victory to his team. Aditya Kumar was presented with the player of the match award by former footballer Manish Chandra Singh.
In the second match, PYFC, Patna City players dominated the proceedings against Gulzarbagh FC. There was a fierce fight between the two for the first 20 minutes. Later, Shaun took the command and fired PYFC to 4-0 win. Shaun completed his hat-trick in the 25th, 47th and 57th minutes of the game. Another goal was scored by Aditya Kumar in the 28th minute of the game.
Vikas Kumar and Gopal Tiwari were shown yellow cards by referee Shubham Sharma. Shaun was awarded the Player of the Match award by Rajendra Prasad Yadav, Treasurer of Patna Football Association.
