Hyderabad: UP Yoddhas, the GMR owned franchisee, went down narrowly to Bengaluru Bulls in Match 119 of the ninth season of the Pro Kabaddi League. UP Yoddhas lost to Bengaluru Bulls 35-38 and are now placed fourth in the league standings with 66 points to their kitty. Captain Pardeep Narwal earned another Super 10 while All Rounder Gurdeep finished the game with six points and young raider Rohit Tomar earned five points from the game.
UP Yoddhas now face Tamil Thalaivas on 7th December 2022 and the match will be telecast LIVE on Star Sports Network and Disney Plus Hotstar, 08:30 p.m. (IST) onwards.
UP Yoddhas won the toss and invited Bengaluru Bulls to raid first. Bengaluru Bulls did not let the opportunity pass by and kicked-off their scoreboard from the first raid itself. Thereafter they quickly galloped to a 0-4 lead when UP Yoddhas struck for the first time. In no time UP Yoddhas with the help of some impressive super tackles brought the score board to read 10-10, Bengaluru Bulls were in a different mood and they inflicted the first All-Out on UP Yoddhas in the 12th minute to take a 10-13 lead. While UP Yoddhas made an impressive effort to make a comeback but Bengaluru Bulls raced their way to a 14-19 lead as the first half came to an end.
The second half began with Bengaluru Bulls continuing their momentum racing ahead to a 9-point lead as the scoreboard read 15-24. However a moment of brilliance from Sumit who went in to Raid and returned with two p[points from a multi-point raid reduced the deficit to seven points. However, this glimmer of hope for the UP Yoddhas did not last long as they were inflicted with their second All Out with 13 minutes still left in the second half. The score board at this moment read 18-28 to Bengaluru Bulls. UP Yoddhas however after this saw their raiders working for the first time in the game as both Pardeep Narwal and Rohit Tomar started earning raid points at regular intervals. UP Yoddhas who reduced their 10-point deficit to seven points seemed hopeful of making a comeback. Bengaluru Bulls however were in no mood to let their lead slide away and even after being inflicted with an All Out by UP Yoddhas in the final minute of the game, they walked away with narrow three-point win as the final scoreboard read 35-38.
