Patna: Patna maintained their winning streak in Moinul Haq Cup 71st Bihar State Football Championship by defeating Arwal 5-0 on Friday.
In the match played at Jagjivan Stadium, Mohania in Kaimur district, there was fierce competition between the two teams for the first 30 minutes. In the first half, Arwal players did not allow Patna to play much openly. The game of the first half was 1-0 in favour of Patna with the help of a goal scored by Tauhid in the 36th minute.
But during the lemon break, coach Sanjeev Kumar Singh gave tips to his players, the benefit of which was seen in the second half. Patna scored a total of four goals in the second half of the game.
In the 56th minute of the game, Tauhid scored the second goal for himself and the team. After this, Arif scored in the 59th minute, Saryu Kumar in the 69th and Shashikant Chauhan scored in the 79th minute to give Patna a spectacular 5-0 victory. Patna’s Amar Kumar Yadav and Amjad Aftab Ashraf were shown yellow cards.
In another match, Rohtas defeated Jehanabad 5-0. For Rohtas, Pravesh Paswan scored in the 31st minute, Mordhoraj in the 33rd, Raj Karan Kumar in the 52nd, Atul Kumar scored in the 60th and 65th minutes.
Mukesh Rai, Ajit Kumar, Aditya Kumar and Tarun were the judges in these matches.
