Patna: Patna Blue will clash with Patna Golden in the final of the MP Women’s Cricket Premier League at the Moinul Haq Stadium under the Sansad Khel Mahotsav. In the semi-finals on Wednesday, Patna Blue defeated Patna Yellow by seven wickets and Patna Golden defeated Patna Red by the same margin. This league is being organised by Rajya Sabha MP Sushil Kumar Modi.
Patna Golden won the toss and invited Patna Red to bat. Patna Red scored 86 runs for 6 wickets in 20 overs. In reply, Patna Golden scored 90 runs for three wickets in 13.1 overs with the help of Apoorva Kumari’s unbeaten 54 runs. Apoorva Kumari was adjudged player of the match and she was awarded by former Ranji player Prabhat Kumar.
Batting first, Patna Yellow scored 100 runs losing all wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Dolly Kumari scored 26 while Mamta Kumari Patel scored 20 runs.
In reply, Patna Blue scored 101 for three in 15.2 overs with the help of Harshita Bhardwaj’s 42 and Pragati Singh’s unbeaten 29 to enter the final. Player of the match award was presented to Harshita Bhardwaj by coach Santosh Kumar.
