Patna: In view of the municipal elections, the 29th Bihar State Senior Ball Badminton Championship (Men and Women), now will be held in Hajipur from December 14 to 16. The tournament is being organised by Vaishali District Ball Badminton Association under the aegis of Bihar State Ball Badminton Association (BSBBA).
BSBBA secretary Gouri Shankar said that preparations have been started under the supervision of Ravi Ranjan Kumar, secretary, Vaishali District Ball Badminton Association to make the senior state championship a success. Invitation has been sent to the teams of all the districts/institutes to participate in the championship. Instructions have been given to send advance information for participation in the championship by December 11. The state championship will be played on league-cum-knockout basis as per national rules.
He said that on the basis of the performance of players in the state championship, Bihar men and women teams will be selected which will participate in the 68th National Senior Ball Badminton Championship to be held in Kollam (Kerala) from December 24 to 28.
