Patna: Nawada defeated Jehanabad by seven wickets on the basis of excellent bowling by the bowlers and excellent batting by Kundan (45 runs) and Deepak Kumar (59 not out) in the BCA Inter District Cricket Tournament at the Moinul Haq Stadium on Thursday. This was Nawada’s second win in three matches while this was Jehanabad’s first defeat. In the Magadh zone, both the teams have four points each from three matches. Dilnawaz was declared man of the match.
Nawada won the toss and decided to field first. Batting first Jehanabad scored 127 runs in 29 overs losing all wickets. Rajneesh Kumar 27, Krish 19, Himanshu 29, Jatin 19 were important contributors. Dilnawaj took three wickets for 19 runs while Pramod, Krishna and Hrithik took two wickets each.
In reply, Nawada scored 132 runs for three wickets in 21.2 overs. Kundan scored 45, Deepak scored an unbeaten 59. Shiv Raj took two wickets for 48 runs from Jehanabad.
