Patna: Nawada defeated Nalanda by 9 wickets in a one-sided match at the Chewada ground in Sheikhpura in the Shyamal Sinha Under-16 Inter-District Cricket Tournament on Saturday.
Batting first after winning the toss, Nalanda made 106 runs in 36 overs thanks to Biraj’s 30 runs and Arunesh’s 18 runs. Aman claimed 4 wickets, Ishu Kumar and Raj took two wickets each for Nawada. Chasing the target, Nawada won the match by scoring 107 runs losing one wicket in 17 overs. Harsh scored 50 runs and Sachin scored 47 runs for Nawada. Nawada’s Aman was given the man of the match award.
At Railway Ground, Sonepur, Arwal defeated Vaishali by 49 runs. Batting first after winning the toss, Arwal scored 141 losing all wickets in 33.5 overs. For Arwal, Irfan contributed 46 runs, Sushant made 25 runs and Rishabh contributed 19 runs. For Vaishali, Akhilesh and Prince took three wickets each and Jayant Raj took one wicket.
In reply, Vaishali’s were all out for 92 runs in 35.5 overs. Aniket scored 33 runs, Prince scored 21 runs and Prateek scored 10 runs for Vaishali. Atul, Rishabh and Harsh took two wickets each for Arwal. Irfan was declared man of the match.
Aurangabad defeated Kaimur by 6 wickets at Jagjivan Stadium. Aurangabad DCA captain won the toss and decided to bowl first. Kaimur scored 161 runs losing all wickets in 37 overs. For Kaimur, Pradeep Yadav contributed 45 runs, Shivam Singh made 25 runs, Suryansh Tiwari 23 scored runs and Anuj Singh scored 22 runs. Sourav took 4 wickets, while Kumar Raj Manjeesh took two wickets each.
Chasing the winning target of 162 runs, Aurangabad won the match by scoring 162 runs in 29.2 overs. For Aurangabad, Anubhav Singh contributed 42 runs, Vikas Kumar made 40 runs, Vishal scored 24 runs and Naveen Kumar contributed 20 runs. Ankit Paswan got 3 wickets and Aryan Patel got one wicket for Kaimur. Saurav Kumar of Aurangabad was adjudged the best player of the match.
Samastipur defeated Khagaria by five wickets at the Refinery Ground in Begusarai. Khagaria scored 93 runs in 22.4 overs thanks to Sanyog’s 37 runs and Alok’s 19 runs. Manish, Aditya took three wickets each and Nitish took one wicket.
Chasing a small target, Samastipur won the match at the loss of five wickets in just 18 overs thanks to Captain Vaibhav’s 30 runs. Sumit and Priyanshu scored 16 runs each. Aditya, Keshav, Prince and Satyam took one wicket each for Khagaria team.
