Patna: Under the aegis of Bihar Ball Badminton Association, Madhubani District Ball Badminton Association and Ayachi Dih Development Committee Sarisbapahi Pandoul, the 29th Bihar State Junior Ball Badminton Championship began on Saturday at Maharaja Laxmeshwar Singh College Sarisbapahi Pandoul (Madhubani).
Last year winner Naugachhia started their campaign defeating Darbhanga 35-30,32-35,35-27. In thr girls’ category, last year’s winner Vaishali defeated Saran 35-15,35-25.
In the boys’ category, Bittu, Gulshan, Pushkar and Ashish performed well for Naugachhia. In the girls’ match, Vandana, Nidhi, Muskan, Srishti performed well for Vaishali and Sakshi, Jyoti, Nikita did well for Saran.
Earlier, the three -day championship was inaugurated by social worker and youth icon Santosh Jha ‘Belahi’, Principal of Laxmeshwar Singh College Dr Vijay Mishra and Bihar Ball Badminton Association Secretary Gouri Shankar by lighting the lamp jointly.
Santosh Kumar Sharma, Secretary, Madhubani District Ball Badminton Association welcomed the guests.

Boys category-Vaishali defeated Saran 35–18,35–17, Begusarai defeated the Barh 35–18,35–15.
Girls category-Naugachhia defeated Barh 35-13,35–12, Kilkari defeated Muzaffarpur 35-10,35-11.
