Kilkari Patna Girls Clinch Title at 31st Bihar State Junior Ball Badminton Championship

Patna: In an intense final match at the Baidhanth Prasad Memorial 31st Bihar State Junior Ball Badminton Championship, Kilkari Patna girls emerged victorious, defeating Begusarai 35-27, 35-28 to secure the title. The championship was held at BP Indraprastha International School, Mithanpura, Muzaffarpur, where both teams displayed remarkable sportsmanship and skill.

In the final, Kilkari’s Harshita, Divya, Khushi, and Srishti put on an impressive performance, while Begusarai’s Komal, Kashish, and Mahi fought valiantly but couldn’t outpace their opponents.

Semi-Finals:

  • In the first semi-final, Begusarai beat Darbhanga 35-28, 35-28 to advance to the final.
  • In the second semi-final, Kilkari Patna overpowered Barh with a dominant 35-15, 35-18 win.

As a result, Barh and Darbhanga shared third place in the championship.

Individual Honours:

  • Kilkari’s Khushi Kumari, who demonstrated exceptional skill throughout the championship, was awarded the Best Player accolade.
  • The award for Best Upcoming Player was presented to Komal Kumari from Begusarai, recognising her promising talent.

Prize Distribution: After the final match, the players of the winning and runner-up teams were honoured with awards by the chief guest, Prof. Suhaili Mehta, Vice President of the Bihar Ball Badminton Association and BJP spokesperson. Other esteemed guests included Dr Rajiv Kumar, Dr Sanjay Kumar, JD Mother International School’s Director Dr Pankaj Kumar, Dr Amrita, Bihar Ball Badminton Association Secretary Gouri Shankar, and BP Indraprastha International School Principal Subroto Roy.

The event’s guests were warmly welcomed by Muzaffarpur District Secretary Rajiv Kumar Sinha and Organising Secretary Rajesh Kumar Sinha, with a vote of thanks proposed by Muzaffarpur District President KK Singh.

The championship celebrated not just the players’ talents but also the spirit of sportsmanship, making it a memorable event for all participants.
