Patna: Muzaffarpur defeated Khagaria, Purnia defeated Kishanganj, Darbhanga defeated Madhubani, Bhojpur defeated Rohtas and Jehanabad defeated Sheikhpura in BCA Inter District Cricket Tournament being played at different venues of Bihar.
Muzaffarpur defeat Khagaria by 8 wickets
At Barauni Refinery ground in Begusarai, Muzaffarpur beat Khagaria by eight wickets. Muzaffarpur won the toss and decided to bowl first. Batting first, Khagaria scored 240 runs, losing 8 wickets in 50 overs. Harshit Anand scored unbeaten 102 runs, Prateek Bhanu made 59 runs. For Muzaffarpur, Devansh Thakur got 3 wickets and Sarfaraz Rizvi got 2 wickets.
In reply, Muzaffarpur achieved the target losing 2 wickets in 41 overs. For Muzaffarpur, Chiranjeevi Thakur scored unbeaten 120 runs and Aditya Priyanshu scored 61 runs. Kundan Nishad and Sumit took one wicket each for Khagaria. Muzaffarpur’s Chiranjeevi Thakur was awarded the man of the match award.
Purnia beat Kishanganj
At Green Valley ground in Gulab Bagh, Purnea won the toss and decided to bat first. Purnia scored 220 runs losing all the wickets. For Purnia, Shishir Saket scored 94 runs in 72 balls with the help of 12 fours and 4 sixes and Vachaspati scored 47 runs in 56 balls with the help of 3 fours and 3 sixes. Abhishek bagged 4 wickets for 39 runs and Divyansh Jain got 3 wickets for 49 runs for Kishanganj. Chasing the target of 221 runs, the Kishanganj were all out for 95 runs.
For Kishanganj, Zulfikar Naine scored 20 runs in 49 balls with the help of 1 four and Vikram Kumar Srivastava scored 16 runs in 45 balls with the help of 3 fours. Raj Singh Naveen took four wickets, Vijay Kumar got 3 wickets. Shishir Saket of Purnia was adjudged player of the match.
Darbhanga beat Madhubani by 8 wickets
Darbhanga defeated Madhubani by 5 wickets in the fourth match of Mithila Zone at Nehru Stadium Laheriasarai on Wednesday. Madhubani’s team won the toss and decided to bat first. Madhubani scored 209 runs in 49.5 overs. Sanjay Yadav scored 56 runs in 72 balls with the help of 10 fours, Ayush Anand scored 38. For Darbhanga Subhash Chandra took 3 wickets, Anurag, Mayank and Rajesh Ranjan took two wickets each.
In reply, Darbhanga achieved the target losing two wickets in 42.5 overs. Darbhanga’s wicket-keeper batsman Ayush Loharuka scored an unbeaten 62 in 70 balls with the help of 7 fours. Opener Ballevaj and vice-captain Tripurari Keshav scored 55, Md. Firoz scored 42, Altamish made 39 not out.
Bhojpur beat Rohtas by 92 runs
In Shahabad zone, Bhojpur defeated Rohtas by 92 runs in their second match. Batting first, Bhojpur scored 271 runs losing all wickets in 49.4 overs. Paramjit scored 64 runs in 83 balls. Sagar Tiwari made 54 runs in 75 balls, Hridayanand contributed 46 runs. For Rohtas, Goldie took 3 on 41.
Chasing the target, Rohtas were all out for 179 runs. Sourav scored 46 runs in 70 balls with 4 fours and 1 six, Rahul scored 45 runs in 57 balls with 5 fours, Ankit scored 24 runs in 44 balls. Paramjit took 5 wickets for 33 and Samresh took 2 wickets for 49.
Jehanabad beat Sheikhpura by 7 wickets
Jehanabad defeated Sheikhpura by 7 wickets at Moinul Haq Stadium in Patna. Sheikhpura won the toss and elected to bat first. Sheikhpura scored 181 runs in 45.3 overs. Jitin scored 52, Amarjit and Chandan contributed 25 runs each.
Shivraj (3 wickets), Kumar Shrey (3 wickets) and captain Gautam Bhagwat (2 wickets) were the main wicket-takers for Jehanabad.
Chasing 182 runs, Jehanabad achieved the target in just 37.1 overs losing 3 wickets.
Dishant Mishra scored 73 runs for Jehanabad. Himanshu Sharma also scored an excellent half-century (61 not out). Suraj took two wickets and Jatin took one wicket for Sheikhpura. Dishant Mishra was awarded the man of the match award.
