Patna: The 14th Hockey Bihar Senior Men’s State Championship 2024, organised by Hockey Patna, is underway at the BRC ground in Danpur. In today’s semi-final matches, Muzaffarpur and Patna registered commanding victories to book their places in the final.
In the first semi-final, Muzaffarpur triumphed over Saharsa 5-0. Vikash Yadav opened the scoring in the third minute of the first quarter, followed by goals from Saurav Kumar in the second quarter and Atit Kumar in the 22nd and 29th minutes. Amarendra Kumar sealed the win with goals in the 31st and 52nd minutes.
In the second semi-final, Patna dominated East Champaran, winning 7-0. Abhay Kumar scored in the 2nd minute of the first quarter, followed by a penalty corner goal from Johnny Kumar in the 6th minute. Captain Ravi Kumar netted in the 24th minute, with further goals from Johnny Kumar (26th and 50th minutes), Mohammad Siddique (40th minute), and Abhay Kumar (58th minute).
