Jamui, June 6: Munger’s victory campaign continued in the Angika zone of Shyamal Sinha Inter District Under-16 Cricket Tournament. In their second match, Munger defeated Bhagalpur by seven wickets.
In the match played at Shri Krishna Cricket Stadium in Jamui, Bhagalpur won the toss and batting first, scored 136 runs after losing all wickets in 32 overs with the help of Arnav Arav’s unbeaten 51 runs. Arnav held one end of the collapsing Bhagalpur and played a key role in taking the score to 136 runs. Abhishek, Mohammad Khalid and Yash Raj supported him in this. Arnav scored unbeaten 51 with the help of 9 fours in 103 balls, Abhishek scored 23, Mohammad Khalid scored 17 and Yash Raj scored 10 runs. 16 runs were scored with the help of extras.
For Munger, Shwetaabh Thakur took 4 wickets, Nehal Kumar took 2 wickets, Abhinav Kumar and Rahul Joshi took 1 wicket each.
In reply, Munger scored 138 runs for 3 wickets in 25.3 overs and won the match. For Munger, Ujjwal Raj scored 23, Anmol Vishwas scored 42, Divyanshu Kumar scored 29, Adarsh Ankit Singh scored an unbeaten 25 runs. 11 runs were scored with the help of extras.
For Bhagalpur, Viraj Kumar took 2 wickets and Aman Kumar took 1 wicket.
