Mizoram beat Bihar by 3 wickets in senior women’s one day trophy

Patna, January 14: Mizoram defeated Bihar by 3 wickets in the match played on Sunday under the Senior Women’s One Day Trophy in Bhubaneswar. This is Bihar’s sixth consecutive defeat. Bihar will play its next and final match against Karnataka on January 16.

In this match played at KIIT Cricket Stadium, Bhubaneswar, Bihar won the toss and decided to bat first. With the help of captain Apoorva Kumari’s 61 runs, Bihar scored 157 runs for nine wickets in the stipulated 50 overs. For Bihar, Ameesha Kumar Anshu played an inning of 26 runs, Komal P Kumari scored 16 runs and Apoorva played an unbeaten inning of 15 runs.

For Mizoram, Tarang Jha took 3 wickets for 25 runs, Rit Mavi took 2 wickets for 20 runs, Jasintha took 2 wickets for 29 runs, Mamta Rai took 1 wicket for 19 runs, Varsha took 1 wicket for 32 runs.

In reply, Mizoram won the match by scoring 158 runs for seven wickets in 48 overs. MP Singson’s unbeaten inning of 36 runs made a major contribution in this victory. Apart from this, captain Shweta scored 23 runs, Felfel Poutu scored 44 runs, Vanlal Rem Tiluangi scored 14 runs, Tarang Jha scored 11 runs, Pui Pui scored 11 unbeaten runs.

For Bihar, Pragati Singh took 2 wickets for 27 runs, Apoorva took 1 wicket for 31 runs, Rachna Singh took 1 wicket for 31 runs.
